Hmmmm…..well I enjoyed Aliens more than I did Alien, but I think that is only because it was faster paced. It was basically the same story with more death, more action, and more aliens. This time we got to meet mama alien…..yeesh. Basically, Ripley was in hypersleep for 57 years and is picked up by salvagers. The Company she was working for has lost contact with the location where she and her crew found the alien ship and she goes with a group of marines to figure out what happened. In the process they find a little girl (Newt) who seems to fill the void left behind by Ripley’s daughter. This time three people make it out alive…..however none of them should have.

This brings me to what I really want to talk about. I thought it was far fetched in the first movie when Ripley opened the airlock to get the alien out of her shuttle. I tried not to question it thought because she was in a space suit….so it was probably. HOWEVER, in Aliens she opens a HUGE airlock and some how manages to hold on, not get sucked out of the ship, and not suffocate/explode/die. What?!?! How is that even possible? I see we are capitalizing on the fiction part of science fiction.

I honestly felt like this movie was about 40 minutes too long (and I didn’t even watch the director’s cut). Maybe recommend. Might watch again.
