31 Nights of Horror The Hazing

Platform: Amazon Prime

Director: Rolfe Kanefsky

Release Year: 2004

Watch Date: October 9, 2023

My Rating: 2.2

At first, I thought I was watching a remake of Hell Night (1981). Greek life pledges must spend the night in a house where the family was murdered. One of the girls is promiscuous; the other isn’t. The Greek life leaders are the ones playing tricks on the pledges at first. Then, something darker is actually killing the pledges.

That’s where the similarities end. In Hell Night, the survivor of the family massacre is offing the pledges. In The Hazing, it’s a strange professor hell-bent on doing a satanic ritual that helps him possess people and will make him all-powerful. The whole plot is weird. The killings are…unimaginative, the acting is horrible, and the script……yeah. I do not often feel like I have completely wasted my time, but I feel that way with this film.

I will not be watching this again.
