31 Nights of Horror
I really need to get back into blogging. It is more than a want. Blogging really is good for my mental health. It is nice to get my thoughts and feelings out there into the world…even if no one is reading them :D.
I thought that a great way to get back into the swing of things would be by celebrating spooky season with 31 Nights of Horror. I’ll watch some scary, and not so scary movies and we can talk about them. Some of them will be movies I love and have seen many times (I promise not to watch anything I’ve already blogged), and some of them will be new to me. In fact, I can tell you that the 4th’s movie will be new to anyone who didn’t see it in the theater because it’s the Disntey+ release date. It is (drum roll please) the new Haunted Mansion movie. Fun fact, I could ride the Haunted Mansion ride all day and not get bored….although alternating between the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribean would be fund.
Anyhow, I am getting way off topic! I love autumn, Samhain, Halloween, and all things spooky. This is the time of year when I feel the most alive. While so many people are starting to have summer has ended sadness, my mood greatly improves. The weather is cooler, the leaves change colors, there are more foggy mornings, and there is that special spark of energy in the air that says the year is rolling to a close.
According to the Wheel of the Year, Samhain actually sparks the beginning of the new year. I wonder if that is why I feel so in tune with this season. It’s a time for new beginnings. And an excuse to watch all the horror movies I want with out people thinking I am extra weird (not that that has ever bothered me….I just ignore that negativity….who needs that in there life).
I’m sure I have babbled long enough. Until next time: be kind to yourselves and others. Remember that kindness is everything and what truly makes the world a better place. Be safe, be well, be happy. Mwah!
