The plot was predictable, like super predicable, and yet still disappointing. Poor King Kong couldn’t seem to get a leg up anywhere. Disadvantageous fight in the water, disadvantageous fight in the city, significant violations of the laws of physics. The script was okay and the special effects were fantastic, which is why this movie got a higher rating. For me, the thing that saved the movie was King Kong’s triumphant hero moment when he ripped apart Mechagodzilla. It warmed my heart and made me the rest of the movie seem worth it.

I wouldn’t watch it again.
