i’m going to be honest, I don’t know how I feel about this movie. It’s a beautiful movie scene wise don’t get me wrong, but it also seems like there’s a lot going on in the background so it’s two overstimulating. Each room of the mansion is rich in detail. Some of the details are super fun. For instance, the U-Haul truck has doctor Facilier from The Princess and the Frog on the side. The bride’s bedroom has a bed that looks like it’s going to eat whoever sleeps in it. And the chair Harriet Simpson in the sink else room looks like the buggies from the Haunted Mansion ride.

I was disappointed that Guillermo del Toro didn’t keep this project, buy ai was pleased that they kept the Hatbox Ghost as the villain as he originally had planned. The script was well written, the characters were well developed, the cast is phenomenal, and the camera work was fantastic. Honestly, I think the only reason I struggle with this movie is because it was so visually overstimulating. I will definitely be watching it again because I know that there’s some things that I missed because I was so focused on the background.

I highly recommend watching this movie.
