My Rating:

There was a time in my life when I would’ve watched this movie and thought about how great the Americans were, and how brave the Americans were, and how it’s so sad that they were caught in this situation. But as I’ve grown and learned, I no longer feel bad for the Americans. The Lybian people were fighting for their country. The United States had no right to go in and intervene with their politics. Let alone leave an entire CIA unit there. I was not surprised that it was the Lybian people that came to aid the Americans and not the US government.

We act like we’re the victims, but we are the oppressors. We stayed in a country we had no business staying in. Sure, the US goes in with the guise of saying that they’re trying to liberate the Libyan people and give them democracy. And that may be true, but what right do we have to tell other countries how to govern themselves? What right do we have to go in and tell them that they’re wrong? So much unnecessary death on both sides.

To the six men who saved so many: you were somewhere you didn’t need to be in a situation that never should have happened, but you fought for what you knew to be right. You are true heroes and I salute you. May Rone and Glen rest in peace.

When I consider the state of this country right now, we have gone so far away from who we were. Make America great again? What is so great about America? We have no freedoms we have no rights. We have a president who is about to enact the Insurrection Act against its own people….again. Why? To control us to and get more power.

Prices are rising because of tariffs. People are fighting because of constant misinformation? immigrants are being deported whether they have criminal records or not. Meanwhile, a convicted criminal sits in the White House writing executive orders that oppress his own people. Executive orders the alienate our allies. We used to be the country that stuck up for everyone else and now we’re a country that Americans don’t even want to live in anymore.

So I watch this movie, which is well directed, well acted, well scripted…and all I can think is “how did we go from that to what we are now? When are we going to rise up and fight for our own country? When are we going to actually make America great again?”

We have a choice: 1933 Germany or France 1789. What will you choose.
