Exciting Adventures Await
What an adventure the last few months have been. Polaris and I are getting married this month. The wedding is going to be here before I know it. I feel like there is still so much to do. I need to finish packing for starters. Packing for overseas travel is hard. I don’t want to overpack, but I also want to be prepared for whatever might come our way. And of course I can’t go over my baggage weight limit.
My adventure is starting with one of my bestie’s 50th birthday party in Europe. I’m so excited to see her and celebrate with her. Last time we saw each other she came to visit me and then we went to Las Vegas. It was both of our first time. It was our first time meeting face to face as well. One of my favorite things about the internet is that I have been able to find my tribe. I love that. Mina, Joy, Polaris….all people I wouldn’t have ever met if if weren’t for TikTok (guess it’s a good thing I met them when I did since TT might not be a thing in the US much longer).
After hanging with Mina it is off to Africa for my wedding and more adventures. I am leaving our adventures up to Polaris and have only asked to see one historical site and to buy a tea pot similar to his mom’s. It is beautiful. I’m hoping to find one with a brighter color pattern. Polaris sent me a video of the pottery shop the other day when he was out looking at rings. Everything was so vibrant and beautiful. I’m going to have a hard time deciding, I can tell.
More than our adventures, I am looking forward to sharing the same physical space with Polaris. Even if we don’t do anything else but get married and then stay home and cook and talk I will be happy. I would be content to sit on the couch snuggled up together holding hands and laughing.
I’ll tell you all about my trip when I get back and share pictures of my destinations. For safety reasons I don’t really want to talk about details before I go. I try to stay as anonymous on here as possible, but there are people who know who I am…not all of them are kind and some of them make me feel unsafe. I will likely make blog posts as I go and then post them all once I return.
Thank you for following my misadventures. I know I always say I am going to be better at blogging, so this time I am just going to say I will try. Once Polaris’ immigration goes through we will have many more adventures (or more likely misadventures since I am involved) that I will want to share with you all.
Until next time, please stay safe. Be kind to yourself and others. Remember that you are amazing. You can do anything you put your mind to. Be blessed.
